New dedicated section for shared and private dashboards 🗂

We are excited to announce a better way for you to work. Before shared and private dashboards were mixed into a single list. Now we have introduced a clear separation with two dedicated views for private and shared. This also means that the shared view looks the same for everyone within the account.

Another issue that occurred before was not being able to edit or delete a dashboard if you were not the creator. Now all dashboards in the shared view can be edited or deleted by any admin users.

Folders and dashboards may also be moved back and forth from private and shared. Just remember when you move a private dashboard to shared, all users in the account will be able to see the dashboard.

Introducing the new profile transparency section 🏥

We are very happy to announce the new profile detailed page, increasing transparency about the state of your profiles. You will now be able to track the health and activity of a profile, and activate private statistics use cases.

There will be a table which contains different types of events, for example:

If the profile no longer exists or was migrated into another profile.
Anytime a user activates or deactivates a private statistics use case.
The date the profile was added.

You will also see profile health as a chart over-time, which shows the profile's general access and any private statistics use cases. If at anytime one of your added profiles are no longer accessible the admin will receive a notification via email and inside the tool.

Please note that the events and health data will only be visible from the date of release (01.07.2020).

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us!

New LinkedIn reactions 👏

You will now find a breakdown of LinkedIn reactions on posts. These are: Like, Celebrate, Love, Insightful and Curios reactions! Besides the break-down, we still offer the overall reaction count, which is simply the sum of all 5 reaction types.

We added a new default metric to our Discover section and new columns:
Reactions Distribution
Posts Table has the reactions break-down columns hidden by default.
Key Metrics Table also has the reactions break-down columns hidden by default.

You can find all the changes on the data source level in our changelog. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us!

Changes to Facebook Private Statistic Permissions 👌

Facebook introduced more specific permissions as a replacement for Manage Pages. We have immediately reflected these changes in quintly. The required permissions are now as follows:

Facebook Basic Insights: Read Insights, Pages Read Engagement
Facebook Messages: Pages Show List, Pages Manage Metadata, Read Page Mailboxes
Facebook Post Authors: Pages Read Engagement, Read Insights, Business Management
Facebook Ad Campaigns: Ads Read
Instagram Basic Insights: Pages Show List, Instagram Basic, Instagram Manage Insights

You can read more about this change from Facebook directly here. Facebook announced the more specific permissions would be deprecated in 2022, however, it happened sooner than we expected. You might have received a notification regarding invalid private statistics. We can confirm this has been resolved.

If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to contact our Customer Success team at support@quintly.com or live chat.

Additions and upcoming deprecations for multiple data sources 📃

We have been releasing multiple updates to our data sources, including additions of new columns and the deprecation of existing ones. You can find a complete list of changes in our new data source changelog. This changelog will be continuously updated to increase transparency from now on.

A handful of new Facebook metrics have been added to data sources facebookInsights and facebookInsightsOwnVideos. E.g. for Facebook videos we now include metrics covering longer view times, like 60 seconds and 15 minute view counts.

Several data sources and columns will be deprecated by June 30, 2020. These changes have been made to reorganize data in our data sources so it's easier to be used and to remove legacy data points that are not served by the social networks anymore. For most of the data sources and columns to be deprecated, you will find direct replacements in another data source. You can interpret these deprecations as a clean-up routine on our side. It is not a major change in the availability of data points by the social networks.

Is there any action required from you as a customer?

No, you do not need to take action yourself! All your default and custom metrics having direct replacements available will automatically be updated before June 30 by our team. All replacements represent the exact same metric, so you won't notice any differences in a metric's definition.

Very few data source columns will be fully removed on June 30th. You can identify those in our data source changelog not having the "replacement available" appendix. These columns are returning n/a values for longer time periods already, so there are no surprises to be expected. Metrics still relying on these columns to be deprecated would throw an error instead of showing n/a values after June 30.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us.
