We improved the dashboard grid layout!! It now has a fixed column size of 12 and also a smaller height for rows. This means you have more flexibility to decrease/increase the height of a metric.

You might not notice the change at first glance but you can now really customize the metrics on your dashboards. If you have any questions, just reach out!

Improvement to table width logic in metric builder 🔨

This is an important update for all our custom metric builders! The width system that you can find in the config has been replaced. We no longer require that the sum of the column widths equal 1 instead the column width logic is now based on ratios.

For example, the old width logic of a table with 3 columns was:

width: 0.25 | width: 0.25 | width: 0.5

The new width logic of a table with 3 columns which is based on ratio becomes:

widthRatio: 1 | widthRatio: 1 | widthRatio: 2

The advantage of the new width logic is that you no longer have to adjust every new column you add to your table with a width. If the width ratio is not specified, it will default to 1. If you need more information about this update, please don't hesitate to contact our customer success team via live chat or support@quintly.com.

Welcome to the new profile management 🔥

We are really excited to show you our new and improved Profile Management with a completely new Authentications section! Our authentication system was built to provide a high level of transparency. It allows you to view the state of your private statistics connections, as well as diagnose and act on connection issues directly inside the quintly tool.

To achieve this, we have split the system into two separate sections. Private statistics use case management, and authenticated user management. These two systems work independently of each other, giving you the freedom to work in either direction.

Private statistics use cases:

In the profiles section you will see an indicator next to your profiles that shows the state of their private statistics connections, opening this indicator shows you the use case manager. Here you can set the desired level of private statistics for each profile, which we have clearly defined with different 'use cases' - each referring to the different technical permissions of each social network. Learn more about private statistics use cases here.

Authenticated accounts:

Once private statistics use cases have been set, they will need to be fulfilled by your social networks accounts. In the authentications section we visualise each of these accounts alongside the profiles and individual private statistics use cases that they fulfill. If multiple accounts meet the requirements for a single profile, our system holds them as redundancy connections to ensure an automatic failover.

By creating a new authentication request, you are able to add additional accounts into the list. This can be done either by granting the necessary permissions yourself, or if you require another person to make the authentication, we can provide an external link so that you can send the request to them. Learn more about how to build a request here.

If you have any questions at all, feel free to contact us at support@quintly.com or via live chat.

Pinterest feature removal

Since October 25th access to the Pinterest API stopped working. We reached out to Pinterest's Business support and they confirmed that for data privacy reasons they no longer allow third parties to access public data. As this breaks the competitive benchmarking use case we have decided to remove Pinterest from quintly.

All default metrics from the Discover section will be immediately removed. Pinterest metrics on your dashboards will be deprecated on the 1st of January 2020. Please note, you are still able to access historic data, but data isn't refreshed anymore. We suggest you export the data if you wish to reference it at another time.

As you will no longer be able to track the Pinterest profiles added, please reach out to your account manager or support to discuss your account. Thank you for your understanding and please don't hesitate to ask any questions.

Update to the facebookInsightsConversation datasource 💻

We have been making further updates to the loading performance of the tool, and we are happy to announce that we will now persist Facebook Insights Conversations. The data will be refreshed every 6 hours. Persisting this data source gives us two new columns to analyze:

folder - The folder in which the conversation is located (Inbox, Other, Pending or Done).
unreadMessageCount - Number of unread messages in the conversations.

These two columns have been added to our default metrics in Discover, Private Conversations Table and Conversations Key Metrics Table.

We also have five other columns that will help get a better overview of your pages customer care. They are: secondResponseTime, secondTimeToRespond, secondPageReply, messages, and participants. The first three columns were implemented to ignore the automatic response that some Facebook pages have set up.

secondResponseTime - Holding the full date and time information when the second reply by the Facebook Page was sent.
secondTimeToRespond - The time from the creation of the initial user message until the second reply of the Facebook Page in seconds.
secondPageReply - The contents of the second reply by the Facebook Page.
messages - List of all messages in the conversation.
participants - People and Pages who are on this conversation.

If you wish to have a custom metric with the above columns feel free to reach out to us via live chat or support@quintly.com.
