If you have any custom metrics, they will now display their relevant social network icons as a primary icon (i.e Facebook icon). A secondary icon will be shown to distinguish them as custom metrics. This will be displayed on the right side of the metric name.
You can now access the metric builder via the metric card drop-down button in your dashboards.

It might happen that you accidentally close a tab before saving a metric, therefore this new warning will come in handy to prevent losing any changes. Closing the browser, a tab or clicking on a different section a warning will appear asking if you are sure you want to leave the page.
When selecting a chart type visualization in the drop-down menu, you will now see an image of how the chart type looks like. As we offer many chart types they are listed in alphabetical order and related charts are grouped together.

Creating custom metrics just got a whole lot better!! If you click on a column name in the API documentation you will now see a detailed description. If there is no description it will show 'No documentation available yet'.

When we launched the RSS Feeds integration in 2014, we hoped this feature would help to measure the success of blog posts on social media. Meanwhile, the adoption of RSS Feeds became less and less popular, which reflects also in the usage statistics and the feedback we collected from our users who were tracking a RSS Feed.
After a lot of discussions amongst our product team, we made the decision to remove this feature from our tool. Our focus is on social media analytics, and removing the RSS feeds feature will help us to maintain that focus.

Before deleting a custom metric it is important to know which dashboards the metric is used in. For this reason, we have improved the deletion process. After clicking 'delete' on a custom metric a warning will list the dashboards where this metric is used. If the custom metric is not in any dashboards, then you will simply see an input field to type 'DELETE' in order to delete the metric.
After confirming, the custom metric will be removed from the listed dashboards. If it is a shared dashboard it might be a good idea to check with your colleagues first as it might be important for their analysis!

After listening to your feedback we are excited to share the new Custom Metrics page with you! It includes the creator, creation date, modification date, summary, number of times used in dashboards, data sources used and an option to duplicate the metric. The sorting options are A-Z and last modified metric.
Please note, with the launch of this improvement all custom metrics that have been created in the past will not show any user information. Any new metrics created will show the creator name.

It is important for our users to know when they are analyzing public or private metrics. We have made a small adjustment and moved the key icon to the right of the metric and dashboard name.
